I am in the United States with a visa k1 , I am in search of information in order to fix to my situation here,the lawyers are expensive , I want to know step by step what I must do since one arrives until the process finishes

Welcome to America. I hope you are happy here.

You don't need a lawyer, although you can hire one if you think you will have a difficult time filling out the paperwork.

First step, get married.

Next step, fill out the I-485 and the G-325A Have your wife fill out the Affidavit of Support. Follow all the instructions.

Another useless interview - July 2006 - got nowhere!
