Ugh is it Monday again?

I had some fun this morning helping out with my son's 3rd grade class. We did "pumpkin math". It was fun and we got to get all messy cleaning the goop out of the pumpkins. Tomorrow is the annual Halloween parade so that should be fun too! Another plus...I get to come into work late two days in a row.

It's official. I have a migraine. I don't know if it's from wearing contacts all of a sudden or what but it's putting me in a crappy mood.

Hang in there Doodle. I've been wearing contacts since 1998 and haven't owned a pair of glasses since then. It will be worth it, once you get used to them. The only time they bother me is when I cook with hot peppers. The "hot" doesn't wash off my fingers from chopping them for a couple of days so taking contacts out and putting them in is very painful. I never even realize my fingertips are "hot" until I touch my eye and then I find out really fast. I keep meaning to grab some gloves when I'm chopping peppers but never remember. Wearing them to put contacts in definitely doesn't work. Abdel says we'll get me the eye surgery as soon as we can afford it so I don't have to hurt every time I cook for him. I guess he likes my cooking.

Good Morning all. Just the same old grind here - Monday morning at work. Jackie, not sure what would cheer you up but hope your day gets better.

Henia, I don't blame you - I wouldn't want to come home either. There is something wonderfully apealing about the more relaxed world over there, at least what I saw.

JW - I agree - staying busy makes the time fly. Before you know it he will be here and you will have extra money in the bank. What a deal!

Jess - do you have any hobies you could work on? I always loved cross-stitch and quilting and lots of others. Maybe something like that would help pass the time and keep you from being so bored.

Angel - now you get to be an angel for real, at least for a day. Enjoy it, but don't forget to stop being too much of an angel when your husband gets you alone tonight!

Amera - congrats on the new job. Hope you enjoy it.

Well it's Monday... again. I start training for my second job tonight after work. I have to weeks of cashier training and then two weeks of bakery training and then two weeks of customer service training! Oh joy!

MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came into work thinking that I would be getting my b-day cake tomorrow only to find out that they brought it this morning b/c it's an icecream cake and they didn't think I would be going straight home tomorrow, but I am. I also have half of a pumpkin icecream cake at home from last night. We had a birthday dinner at my house last night. I spent about 8 hours cooking B'stilla. I was running around like a crazy woman! It was good though.

Tomorrow I will work for 4 hours and then I will go get my nails done and go to dinner with my hubby and then we are going to a haunted house with a few friends after dinner. I always get excited when it comes to my birthday.

We went to one of Adil's co-workers wifes b-day party on Saturday. I have never seen a 38 year old woman so excited for her birthday! I mean she was clapping, singing, dancing and kept throwing food and in our faces. I think it wight have been because she had one to many beers though.

Well that's all that I have for today. I hope everyone had a good weekend and that you all have a Happy Halloween!

I spent my day off lolly-gagging, then went to Walmart (ew), gassed up the car and conditioned my hair. All the talk about age age age age on this board lately has been kind of a downer. LOL I'm starting to poke and prod in the mirror. (gotta laugh at myself...you "youngesters" will understand one day)

I made a pot of soup to dine on this week. Need to sluff off a few of these pounds. Just digging the autumn colors and cool breezes.

I got brave and posted my pic. I'll most likely chicken out and take it off again. I run hot and cold about revealing too much.

Hope everyone's Monday is fairly pain free.

Hey, Hey, Hey for mondays. Sike!

I am so sleepy and my eyes are burning .. Maybe I need to get off the computer and do some real work "round hea! Or is it cuz the time changed that I am trippin? Didnt we gain an hour so we could sleep longer? Now it gets dark so early, blaaaahh, blaaaah, blaaah!!!! Thats how you know its bout to start snowing. Wont be nice outside till about march, april.... Oh My Goodness, just the though of it!

I got a few calls today about my resume. I actually just stared this job in Aug... this guy ain't paying what I was offered today (not even close!) and they usually don't tell you on the phone. I was like what the hell, I may as well ask... I need to know if its worth taking off to interview with the lady or not. I am still seeing $$$$$$$$!!!!!!

I kinda wanted to stick it out here till January cuz I got 2 weeks off in Dec. cuz the school will be closed for the holidays, and I really was looking forward to spending this time with my husband and my daughter. You know how that goes. Its so much to do here in chicago! Inside and out....

What to do? My pockets are telling me to ride out!

I know at the hospital, I will be on my feet all day, making twice as much, plus a hellified benefit package. We need that! If I stay here I get to talk to yall all day, and then teach a few classes in between...

Hmmmmmmmmm..... decisions, decisions!
