Getting married on Student Visa

My boyfriend went back to South Korea recently because his English study finished and to visit his family, but he wants to come back and apply at a college here to finish his studies in his major: Architecture/Engineering. His Student Visa doesn't expire until 2017, but it has the name of his English school on it, may he use this visa to study in America? Also, we plan to both study for the remaining year to finish school, then later we are considering getting married. Could this lead to any problems? We don't intend on having him come here on Student Visa solely for marriage, but we do intend on getting married within the next year or so.

N0, he'd need a new I-20 from the new school.

Grey area. He cannnot use the student visa to enter the USA with the intent to marry AND STAY. It is ok to get married on it though.

Although his student visa says 2017, he can no longer use it since his studies are finished - it voids the visa.

He'll need a new one for whatever program he wants to do next, which means a new I-20
