Hi to all

My fiancé and I applied for k1 visa, I am filipino citizen and currently living and working here in kuwait that's why we decided to address our application here in consulate embassy which I will have my interview here. my question is once i passed the interview and release a visa for me can I go home first in the Philippines and booked a flight there going to America or I should leave from kuwait to America since my chosen consulate embassy is here and I've done my interview here? Please help. Thanks

I don't see why it would be a problem going back to the Philippines before going to the US.

I think it's best if you apply for the K1 visa from your home country. But maybe applying from Kuwait won't be an issue if you have lived there long enough.

Yes you can travel, as long as you use the visa to enter the USA by its expiration date, which is usually 6 months from issue date. Travel to the Philippines- and especially back out of Phils- may be an issue due to to the Philipines specific requirement of CENOMAR.

If you do travel back to the Philippines you will be required to do the CFO seminar before they will allow you to travel to the United States. Like Penguin said there may be an issue due to to the Philipines specific requirement of CENOMAR.

IE.. the CFO Seminar.........
