I am a sucker for absolutely anything Hello Kitty-related (as Ewen can unfortunately attest to). The little kitty in my ticker is Chococat, another Sanrio character.

I have several tidbits that are not known about me to the general members of VJ.

I love to cook and I am one that does not measure or use recipes unless first time trying speciality dishes or baking. Food related I do not like foods to touch on my plate either. See in good company on this one.

I love flower gardening but have never vegetable gardened.

I paint, sketch and dabble in arts and crafts. I do flower displays with acrylic water.

I do not look my age and am always asked if I am the boys stepmother? :D No complaints there at all.

Although I'm an editor and thus primarily "use" my English degree, I also have a second degree in philosophy.

When I was in elementary school I won the Presidential Physical Fitness Award for doing more pull-ups than anyone, including the boys.

I won first place in my weight/age class at the Women's National Powerlifting Championships in high school.

For the majority of my life, I was deathly afraid of dogs.

I am psychotic about food freshness and germs but I have shared sandwiches with my dog from time to time.

As a child I used to believe that "things" had feelings and so I would feel bad if I didn't say good night to every object in my room.

Me too! All my dolls and stuffed animals had names. And when I would accumulate too many and my mom would tell me that I should give some to kids who didn't have any toys to play with, I would get very upset that I was hurting the feelings of those I gave away.

Thanks!! It was definitely a fun experience (the peak of my powerlifting career) but I only did one meet after that-a deadlift meet in which I set a state record, but I had to give it up because I was always hurting from so much training and I was young-wanted my free time!!

I won first place in my weight/age class at the Women's National Powerlifting Championships in high school.

Finally, someone says something interesting! That's very cool :)

For the majority of my life, I was deathly afraid of dogs.

OH, OH, me too........I had a bad experience as a child, still havent gotten over my fear of dogs. Even little puppies scare me a bit. I didn't want to say it though, kinda reminded me of that Friends episode where chandler admits that he doesnt like dogs and everyone thinks hes a freak cause of it....

That reminds me of another one, me and my friends make constant "friends" references all the time.

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

This may or may not be so weird, especially to those of you who are parents...

I still have every single one of my children's baby teeth that they've lost in a special pouch in my "memory box". My 2 oldest are now 23 and almost 18 but my youngest just turned 10 so I'm still collecting hehehe
