hmm... stuff you don't know about me....

i like foreign (mostly indian) movies MUCH more than american ones (hollywood pisses me off most of the time)

i like to learn languages:

i studied ancient greek, latin, and spanish in high school (don't remember any of them), i'm conversationally fluent in german, and i'm learning hindi.

and i would like nothing more than to be a novelist :star:

Cats give me the creeps...As a child and into my teenage years, I had a recurring nightmare that cats would follow me as I walked down my street at night, hiding behind trees, cars, walls and anything else they could hide behind, peeking their heads out to watch me, slowly adding to their numbers, until they all attacked me at once, clawing and biting my arms and legs, as I pulled them from my limbs and smashed them to the ground....ugly dream, very, very ugly dream.....

I played pool with Smashing Pumpkins in the 7th floor executive lounge at the Hyatt Regency in Mclean Virginia ... I think it was 1991 or 1992. They were there for some type of interview and I was attending a conference... I had never heard of them (I'm clueless about music groups). I asked them what the name of their band was and they told me. I told them I thought it was an odd name and wished them luck.

NO NO!!! I was NOT a stripper. My husband just thought I was when I told him that I danced professionally. Dirty mind he's got.

But yeah, they were apparantly kidnapped by Mormons, I'm not entirely sure why?! Oh hubby just says that his family were Mormons too back then. This was when the Mormons were travelling through Iowa on the way to Salt Lake City. His relatives wanted to stay and settle here, but were not permitted by the Mormon elders to do so, and were dragged on to Utah. From there they escaped in the middle of the night and fled back to Iowa, as they would not have been able to take their wives with them had they left normally. This is all recorded in our 150 year old family bible. Strange stuff!!

Hmm I think I have a touch of OCD...I hate touching public door handles so I either have to have a tissue in my hand when I open them or I use this disinfectant hand gel I carry around in my handbag after I have touched them. I have been known to wait inside a public toilet until someone else opens the door so I can run out without touching the door

I am a lawyer....although nobody thinks I am old enough to be one including my clients (which is worrying  )

I grew up in Africa....

And I have a real fear of gas masks. In fact most masks freak me out but even if I know there is a gas mask near me I start to panic. My heart just races.

I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy (which totally sucks btw)

My fiance and I Both have two different forms of Muscular Dystrophy.

Andrew is crazy about star trek. :star:

I cannot get rid of the habit of biting my nails - done it since a child

Andrews IQ is 147 according to an offical test taken in California. That is above genius...

We both have two cats each and have funny coo-coo gah-gah names for them.

Andrew used to be bald, he now has a full head of hair and is growing a beard and is determined to let it grow very long!

We both dropped out of high school because of pressure and constant medical problems.

We really want to try for a child one day

Andy likes to "keep" my purse on his lap as he thinks somebody may steal it (or so he says)

Andy wants to wear a kilt for our wedding ceremony

I gave Andy an engagement ring too that was hand made in the shetland islands in Scotland. It has a ring of celtic knots on it and its meaning is to ride the waves and conquer the oceans together.

Andys engagement ring to me was a family heirloom

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything
