We received our I-797, Notice of Action today and we wonder if everyone received the same instructions as what we received. The following is what we received;

The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would now like them to forward the petition to a different consulate.

There is more but that is just about getting married in 90 days and bla bla bla. It would help if someone can tell us if they received the same verbiage in there NOA2.

Thank you for any replies.

With a grain of salt: I read somebody's post the other day where they typed or copied their entire NOA2 and it sounded just like that. I'll let someone with more experience and know how take over from here ;) Just wanted to feel smart for a second haha!

Does this mean that the application has now gone to NVC? I got the same exact NOA2 last week and it doesn't say NVC on there so I'm not sure where my application is now. The consulate it stated doesnt know anything.

Yes and I called because no embassy was listed. I was told the time frames for NVC and embassy and to just refer to the State Department website for any further information.

Yeah that's the I-129F Approval Notice and if you check your case status on the USCIS website, it should say:

On October xx, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Congrats!!
