Costs Associated with IR1

Hello,

I'm having trouble trying to figure out all of the costs associated with the IR1.

My husband and I have been married for 2 years in 2 weeks so we don't have to pay for a change of status at any point.

I have found the i130 is 420

Then there's the affidavit of support which is 88

Then, I'm not really sure what this is, but there seems to be a $240 cost associated with something on here is this the ds-230?

Could someone tell me if I'm missing something?

I know there's a cost associated with the medical examination?

Thanks!

Yeah I think it's about $50 cheaper in Montreal but regardless I was surprised at the cost.

Wow, I'm feeling ripped off! We paid $404 for DS230 and $350 for our medical in Vancouver! And we JUST got the visa a few weeks ago.

Medical exam was $275, Tdap was $45 at Dr. Cheema. I thought he was the only one in the lower mainland although someone else told me they paid $450 although I'm not sure where!

i read that AOS is free isnt it ?

and payment is only for

I-130 - 420 $

and

DS-230 - 355 $

The AOS fee is not applied when filed abroad but is applicable if filed domestically. And I'm not sure where the inflated application fee is coming from. We paid $230 which is clearly outlined here. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1263.html

You are not charged the $88 if the I-130 is filed abroad, only when filed domestically. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3178.html#forms_fee

For DCF cases, this is correct, but DCF is not available to the poster I was addressing.
