I live in the U.S, but my brother lives in my home country. He visited me in the U.S and left couple days ago. Now I feel that I miss him a lot and I wish I could see him as often as I could. When I looked up online about bringing my brother to the U.S, I found out it takes from 10-12 years total. Will it be easier for him to become a permanent resident if he applies here in the U.S rather than back in my home country? Can he get a visitor's visa and apply for AOS here? I really miss my brother..

He he cannot AOS, as there won't be a visa immediately available for him. The only way to get him here quicker is if he wins the diversity visa lottery or can get a work visa.

ditto

siblings cannot adjust status in country. they must wait in their country of origin, as it takes almost 12 years.

he can visit but never overstay. or as said, find another type of visa to stay in the US
