I have been doing some reasearch and it appearsa that women get approved at a much higher rate and faster during their first interviews. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

Yup, especially for China, a high fraud country.

Course, it could be (IMO) simply a gender numbers game, as there are more PRC Women getting the #### out of China, marrying Western Men. Lining up for interview day at Guangzhou IV - is always 80 percent plus women going in for spousal visas.

In Morocco, it is mostly men going in for the interviews. My research in Morocco has shown that only one person over the last couple years of the Vjers was denied the spousal visa and only a couple were given administrative review. (This may be because no one has updated their timelines.) This information is givin me great hope for my wife's interview.

The question should be why women go to other country’s to get men, when there are more men of marring age than there are women in the U.S.

The only thing I can thing of to combat that is love. My wife and I had an immediate connection and fell in love. I went over there and the relationship grew stronger. When I went back the second time, we decided to marry and start the process in bring her back the the United States.

I am sure all of the women that find love in another country feel the same way too.

Is your wife significantly older than you, divorced, children, different religion?

It is because majority of the beneficiaries are women all over the world. Mike and other men probably only covers 10% of that census

Good luck!

My interview went very smooth and it didn't take more than 5 min for them to approve it.

I believe that part of it is culture, they might see it as an Arabic woman is less likely to commit marriage fraud just to get to the US. Families are more involved in marriages in islamic countries and it's not very common to see a lot of mixed couples in morocco where the woman is the moroccan one but it's more likely to see moroccan males married to non moroccan...maybe that can be one of the reasons but maybe i'm wrong.

I have a question for you. My husband obtained the criminal report but the Casier Judiciare was obtained from his place of birth. The translator stated this was the correct document and the police in the city where my husband now resides told him that he had to get the document from the place of birth. In order to get it he had to show his birth certificate. Are you familiar with this or were you born in the same city you lived as an adult?

Thank you,

My wife is the same age as me, and never been divorced or had any children. We are also both Muslim.

This is a correct statement. YOu must get your police report in the city where you currently live, and then your court record from the city you are born in. My wife had to do the same thing, as she lives 300 km away from where she was born.

Your case is somewhat unusual for this Consulate, I would not expect and particular problems. A case where looking at the experience of others with this Consulate will confuse rather than help.

I was born and grew up in the same city all my life. However it doesn't make any sense that they would ask him to get the police certificate from his birth city if he is living for a while in another city...The consulate wants to see if he has any criminal records wherever he lives, then there is another court record that I believe he should get from Rabat, the capital.

Just to be sure, let him try to get a police certificate from the place of his birth ( see what the police there will tell him), and from where he lives if you can,,,Just to be sure he is covered.

I don't know if this is of any help, I'm sorry I don't have more information to share with you !

I didn't understand the process either, but they accepted all of my wife's papers and we are set for an interview.

There are millions of single people here of both genders, why does anybody marry someone from abroad? People do what makes them happy.
