Sunshine!!! Hi! smile.png Well, we just heard about the green card yesterday lol so we don't have it in hand yet, but soon hopefully! Yesterday was definitely a happy day! When I texted my mom to tell her that we heard back about my guy's green card, she said, "Wow, I thought that was all done already, they really do like to take their time." HA!

That's really awesome that you were able to file a service request and then get processed so quickly! I didn't realize they stamped something in your passport too. Super interesting. Congratulations!! smile.png What a great start to the summer!

Yes, yesterday was a GREAT day!

They only stamped something in our passports, because I said about my son going away, otherwise they wouldn't have done it. I'm really pleased I asked, as I had visions of my ex losing my sons EAD/Travel card on purpose to make it harder for my son to come back. This way there is a stamp in his passport.

Yes, that's what I did. I called USCIS to see what date my local office was processing and they were on Nov 17th (this was 3 weeks ago) the guy did a service request and told me to wait 15 days. On the 15th day at 2.30pm I rang USCIS back and told them I hadn't heard anything or received any emails. The rep told me to wait another 30 days as there was a really heavy case load.

I got lucky, on that same afternoon at 4.30pm I got a call from a lady at the USCIS office at Manchester.NH, saying my second set of fingerprints hadn't gone through and could I bring a police clearance letter and do a sworn statement. She said the sooner I come in the better as she can grant my greencard as soon as she has the paperwork. She told me she was trying to clear a back-log of case files she had just been sent from the main office.

So from what the rep told me there busy (but they always are!), hopefully you'll hear sooner than 30 days

I called last night and they entered a claim for me as well since Indianapolis local was also processing 11/15/12 and our fee was accepted 10/31/12. I was also told to wait 15 days and then check back if I had not heard anything. The lady was very nice but seemed to have trouble understanding me although I am the US born and raised person in this couple!

Hi!

Does anybody know what it means:

"The status of this service request is:

MSC-XXXXXXXX

On June 25, 2013, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-485 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your petition is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition/application.

What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful to you"

I put a service request in on Wednesday as it looked like my case was past normal processing time (Cleveland Office is already working on mid-November cases) and that's the answer I received back from them. Should I be worried or is it just a regular BS they tell everybody?

We did the same thing and now have a service center request confirmation ending in CHI. The tier 1 rep did not want to transfer me to a tier 2 rep to place a service request.

I have no clue where our file is, the service request was placed through our local office based on our zipcode, but the case is at NBC in MO. Some others have posted that the cases for k1 aos folks are being sent back to local offices.unsure.pnghuh.png

I called last night and they entered a claim for me as well since Indianapolis local was also processing 11/15/12 and our fee was accepted 10/31/12. ajacks, we are in the same boat - from reading what was online it looks like my case went to NBC but when they looked it up they looked up Indianapolis processing times - so I don't know exactly where our file is either but I'm thinking maybe they are sending them to the locals if they are out of the time line... i don't know what tier I was speaking to but likely 1 since it was the lady who answered the phone. I am just hopeful since some other folks have had good luck after they got through and had a ticket opened to look into it.
