October 2012 AOS Filers

Still cant check the case status on the USCIS website. wondering if i should call tomorrow and find out whats going on

you can, it might not change anything though... I did my biometrics 1.5 weeks ago and my I-148 is still in 'acceptance' stage AND the I-175 is already in 'initial review'... Don't think they update it as often as we would expect them to... I saw on other forums that some people are in the same situation as you, maybe that'll make you feel better

Mailed USPS 10/16, got a card saying it was received 10/19, but haven't heard anything else... Hoping I hear something soon. I attached the 1145 too - no text or email.

dont expect to hear anything online base on what i have been reading. you should be getting your first notices soon so dont worry. i got mine on Monday

Hi All

First post! We sent our paper work for AOS i130 and i485 concurrent filing to the Chicago drop box on Oct 15, it was delivered on the 17th by USPS. Havent heard anything yet and the checks have not been cashed..... should I be worried?! Seems its been taking 2 weeks for most people in this thread but maybe because we are doing the concurrent filing its different? Why wouldn't they have cashed the checks? any insight would be appreciated!

IDK. its taking about 2 weeks for most peeps to get NOA1. nothing can be certain until the checks are cashed so just hang tight and watch your account

Got NOA on I'm guessing the EAD and AP since we only got two texts to my husband. That was yesterday and they've had my paperwork since 10/19. Happy weekend all! Hope I get something soon on the 485.

we sent ours the same day and have the same received date. hopefully we get through soon.

DJ, I know you're adjusting from a k1. Do you know if its normal to get your application forwarded to the Nbc I read somewhere that k1aos don't go there but ours did!

I'm also adjusting from K-1 and that's what I found in my case status: 'Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location' so I guess that makes the two of us

My case starts with msc too but it can't be found in the system. ( case status function on uscis) :/

so I got the package returned in the mail today... rejected based on the fees-either incorrect amount or not included.

I included two checks; $420 for the I-130 and $1070 for the i485. My understanding was that the i485 fee also included the AP and EAD application/petitions... I cannot work out what I did wrong... I will call them on Monday but does anybody have any ideas?

just realised that I incorrectly dated the checks, I did day/month/year instead of month/day/year.... could this be why?

We filed in Oct 13, 12 for Concurrent I-130/AOS/EA:

I am adjusting from an tourist visa that has been in "overstay" for some time.

07/26/12 - Married Courthouse

10/13/12 - Mailed I-130, I-485, I-765 (USPS Express Mail w/ delivery confirmation)

10/17/12 - Electronic (E-mail/Text) confirmation of acceptance

10/22/12 - NOA1: Receipt Letter arrived for I-130, I-485, I-765

10/27/12 - Biometrics appt letter received (scheduled for November 7 in Gardena, CA)

10/31/12 -Successful walk in Biometrics @ Gardena Center at 1 pm. 1 Week early.
