Well as we all can see...update on USCIS means diddly squat...Update happened on 5/Novemebr21 and data is of 3/31....so technically it is already late 2 months...Does that mean they should be processing December filers...not so much I’ve figured they do two weeks’ worth of filings in a month...so they are more than likely in mid -late October Early Nov filers as of today....my two cents (or maybe just my wishful thinking)....it is funny how deadlines and timelines mean one in private sector and totally another in Govt entities....Ah well...c'est la vie....

I believe a lot of August filers are still waiting for their approvals.

I think I am going to call the USCIS NBC customer service soon. I found this: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

But you cannot find a processing date on I-485s and California's was in August of 2011. Also, there is no deadline for them to even finish these according to The Beacon, the Official Blog of USCIS. That is really frustrating. If you pay and you do your biometrics and you passed your background checks and you got married in a timely manner - and you are considered interview waivable - what on earth can take this long? Our case is still only in Acceptance since October 31, 2012. ClockWatch2.gifwow.gif

Hang in there. This is frustrating for all those being delayed. Our case is in Acceptance since Nov 13 2012. Just a word of caution on the service case requests via the e-request tool, people are now getting letters saying that it may take up to an additional 6 months and to wait that long to contact USCIS again. It seems like it is a form letter, but I would hate having these folks put those already waiting this long at the back of the line (6 months would make this 9-10 month process, one that takes 15 months). Maybe talking to a tier 2 phone person might give you some insight on what you can do next. Perhaps the ombudsman and congress/senators ?

Maybe the congressman helper can find out what NOA date the NBC is at so that we can get an estimate of when our case will be adjudicated.

We are worried about an RFE due to medical tests that prevented the visa being issued on time and or having the USCIS "lose" the medical.

I will wait one more month and then start the congressman process.

It does suck that you pay quite a bit for service, but it takes forever. The wait sucks. Rather be intereviewed and have it quicker.

Thanks ajacks - the idea of that form letter is very disconcerting - and I'm with you LongRX7 - I'd much rather have been interviewed and be done with it. I mailed our paperwork in 10/16 but the acceptance on the I-485 is noted 10/31/12.

Just short UPD- some people are now getting letters saying that it may take up to ADD 9-12 months

and wait so long to contact USCIS ..See SEPT filters.

We are still waiting too.

Our local office says nov 4 but since I'm an October filer I doubt it.

I mean I don't even know? Should I keep checking the local office's processing times? I didn't get any letter that my case is being transferred there.

I'd assume I am still stuck in wherever I sent the aos binder to initially. Or?

We're still waiting too - I've been in the Acceptance stage since October 4, 2012, being processed at the National Benefits Center. My local field office though, says October 24. *sigh*

I called uscis on Friday and was told I am passed the processing timeframe so the customer rep put a service request for me in and told me to call back in 30 days if I don't get anything in writing.

However, we know how uscis works I don't think my call helped at all. No hopes here haha

Hello everyone,

What number do you all call to find out the status on I485? My wife came here on K1 visa. We did not hear anything from USCIS since mid-November of last year. She had her biometrics in mid-November and since then no word from USCIS.

This is from my case status screen.

"The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received. With mail time it may take several weeks for you to get the receipt or rejection notice in the mail. If you do not receive your notice within 30 days of mailing your application, please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."
