I don't see that the NBC is processing form I-485. However, I just looked at the Oklahoma City Field office site and they JUST updated to October 21, 2012, because I checked earlier today and it was Oct 09, 2012. My I-485 was accepted on Oct 9th and 12th. Hopefully I hear some good news soon.

May 2010 Visited Cynthia in the Philippines
08/10/2010 I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX address (used Express Mail via USPS)

Here's my situation. On the USCIS website, I'm in the "Acceptance" stage still and it says, "On October 4, 2012, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location."

Now, when I look under the "recent processing times" page, it does not show any processing times for "Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status" for the NBC. But... when I look under my local field office, it shows October 24. This is confusing because I know that the cases processed at the local field office are the ones that will have an interview. And I know of one October filer that has already been processed and approved. So, us NBCers won't have an interview, but then are in for a longer wait.

But why doesn't it show processing times for "Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status" on the NBC section on the USCIS website? The NBC page shows processing times for EAD/AP, why not the green card?

It's misleading because my local field office is already processing people after me, but the NBC doesn't seem to be anywhere close.

I have a K1 and K2.

K2 is in "Initial Review" On October 9, 2012, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

K1 is in "Acceptance" On October 12, 2012, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location.

So not really sure if they are being processed at the same place or different places.

Geez, lol... for the amount of money we pay for processing, they should pay these people case by case basis. I'm sure they would work faster :)

Hi, we are September 25, 2012 filers and are still waiting to hear. We understand that many August 2012 filers are getting processed now so we are hoping we will be soon. I'll be glad to keep you October filers updated on our progress so you will get an idea of how long it may be for you. We are thinking, based on reading these posts, that we are looking at the end of June, if that helps at all. It seems to be taking an average of about 9 months. Hoping the best for all our VJ friends....

so what I need to do for the travel dacouments?can I go to my uscis local office and apply for a travel dacoument to outside the USA?

if I knew we are going to wait that long I would have applyed the form I-131 with I-485

Yes, I think you should go ahead and apply for afvance parole. We did not apply for it either when submitting the i-485 (Sept 25, 2012)and didnt dream it would take this long. I have read that you can apply to your local field office and get a quicker response for advance parole. I think we're looking at maybe July before we hear anything and you are about a month behind us if yours is being processed by the NBC. Good luck to you and keep us informed...

Well as we all can see...update on USCIS means diddly squat...Update happened on 5/Novemebr21 and data is of 3/31....so technically it is already late 2 months...Does that mean they should be processing December filers...not so much I’ve figured they do two weeks’ worth of filings in a month...so they are more than likely in mid -late October Early Nov filers as of today....my two cents (or maybe just my wishful thinking)....it is funny how deadlines and timelines mean one in private sector and totally another in Govt entities....Ah well...c'est la vie....

I think I am going to call the USCIS NBC customer service soon. I found this: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

But you cannot find a processing date on I-485s and California's was in August of 2011. Also, there is no deadline for them to even finish these according to The Beacon, the Official Blog of USCIS. That is really frustrating. If you pay and you do your biometrics and you passed your background checks and you got married in a timely manner - and you are considered interview waivable - what on earth can take this long? Our case is still only in Acceptance since October 31, 2012. ClockWatch2.gifwow.gif
