Well, we're still waiting too and I know other people close to here at the same local who filed about the same time but have long since had their interviews and approval. I guess if we don't hear something in a month I'll look into calling someone since it will be 6 months since acceptance at the end of next month. What a process we have! But hey - at least we are already together!:luv::yes:

Just a look around VJ will tell you that there are LOTS of people who are at NBC and will not have an interview. Well, regardless...it is better to have an interview as it is much quicker to receive GC.

I don't put a lot of stock in what many attorneys say (although obviously there are some very knowledgable ones out there)...there are a lot of "not so good" ones out there looking for business. Wouldn't you be more likely to use one if you thought you had to prepare for an interview with USCIS? Something to think about

I talked to one attorney and he told me the opposite...very few get GC without...non the less...You are right it seems to be 6-9 months nowdays...used to be less a year or so ago...

Wow, not a lot going on here, huh ?

My AOS is still in acceptance stage, hopefully those who are still waiting will hear something soon... Regret turning down my congresswoman who offered me to look into it after my EAD was approved, because I truly thought it wouldn't take that long. Ugh, that's what I get lol ...

Congrats to everyone who is done with USCIS for now ;)

On the USCIS page, the processing times for my local office were updated last week and shows they're processing Oct. 3, 2012.

I'm still in acceptance stage on the website which says, "On October 4, 2012, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."

So in theory, I should hear something soon, right? :) I'm only one day off!

Could be the sequester is backing it up worse than usual... Indianapolis office said processing October 11, 2012, for at least 2 weeks. My case was accepted October 31 per the USCIS site even though it was actually send earlier and the other paperwork reflects an earlier acceptance date.

The whole thing is pretty ridiculous. I have a feeling that anyone from October who hasn't had an interview will be stuck at NBC for a while. It looks like they're just getting around to processing July 2012 people.

We're probably looking at June or later :\

You are correct. I'm an August filer and tried it all, service requests, congressman etc but no results, just wait, wait, wait. NBC is working on late July and from what I can ascertain, one week jump equals one month to do so.

If you are at NBC, probably the best advice is to not beat your head against the wall, let go...relax...it is what it is.

USCIS is self-funded by the fees we pay...I don't think the sequester affects them (although it would be nice to have some reason to place the blame  )

I know I sure wish we could fast forward through all the waiting. After this waiting period, we just get to start another and try to remember to send in the next set of paperwork and fees for removal of restrictions on time or end up in trouble. I really wish this was all easier. I hope you all are at least happy with your loved ones. We are happy to be together, but it is a bit stressful feeling like you are in limbo.
