I think you have to file the I-765 with the I-485 to do it for free washington1972. You might check the pinned posts on the AOS forum on how to. (F)

I received my CA drivers license yesterday with validity until 2017, i did my written and road test at the San Ysidro DMV. the whole process was simple, no weird questions was asked nor was i treated differently. Just wanted to share my experience so that others would have an idea about the process. I've heard some state grant DLs based on the validity of the EAD, fortunately for me that didn't happen. Good Luck to anyone who's about to attempt this process.

Since its a 50/50 split on if you get an interview with a K1, it seems like by now, those who were selected for interviews have been selected and their cases forwarded to the local centers. Some have had their interviews already, some are scheduled and some are still waiting to be scheduled. The rest of the K1s who were not selected for interviews are still at the NBC right? Theres no one here thats a K1 that was approved w/o interview is there??

Hopefully in the next month NBC will start approving those w/o interviews  Im hoping to see some posts soon from someone approved w/o an interview, because once it starts its just a matter of time before every filer will be approved.

Hopefully.. It makes me sad why I haven't been scheduled yet.. My friend in California who submitted her AOS package a week later than me had an interview schedule and was able to rescheduled it and got another date of interview. Weird, that on my case there's no date yet. I don't think USCIS office here in Colorado are that busy.

Yes, I was hoping to hear something about an interview by now too since it looks like it takes longer and could be much longer without the interview.:blink:

We sent the forms on 9/28/12, and the wife received her EAD/AP on 12/8/12. Still waiting. We're adjusting from a K1 visa. From what I understand, if the case is straight-forward, we won't have an interview, right?
