The AP will never change to card production, only the EAD will. When you get your card it will say on the bottom that it serves as Advanced Parole. We've been in the Testing/Interview stage since the beginning of Dec. You have to sit tight & wait for a date to open up at your local office. It will update online when the card is mailed & when it's delivered.

Thanks.. yeah I presume that was the case.. anyway, since they assigned a tracking number.. are they supposed to deliver it in your door or mailbox? We are sometimes out.. I don't want to missed the mailman.. lol

It gets delivered with your regular mail- and there is no signature required.

As for your other post re- when can you expect to be scheduled for an interview, you can check timelines for others in your area to get a general idea of the processing times for your local office. For example when I look at the trends at my local office I can see that last year around this time they were moving rather quickly. People were getting scheduled and approved GC around the rate of apx 2-3 months, then all of a sudden there was a slow down and now it seems the processing time is around 7-8 months. Currently the people being called in for interviews and receiving GC during the month of Dec at my local offices were those who filed for AOS in April.

If you know for a fact your case was transferred to your local office and youre awaiting an interview then you should check the timelines link at the top of the page and search for people who also filed at your local office. You can then get a general idea of the processing times and how quickly or slowly your local office is moving based on the time between the transfer date and the interview dates.

If you havent been transferred to a local office yet and youre still at the NBC then checking the timelines wont tell you anything because theres no way to know how long youll sit at the NBC.

Today, I got an RFE for both I-765 and I-131 because of missing proof for pending AOS. It is really weird since I mailed three applications altogether. It doesn't make sense to me since USCIS is the NBC authority who is processing all three applications. How come they couldn't check whether I have pending I-485 or not? It is so silly.
