I just checked my case online and it was in testing and interview, they said that they sent me the notice dec 12 for my intervw and it will be on January 17, 2013. My question is, is it required during the interview that my hubby is present?coz he will be in Rhode Island for his schooling in the Navy. please let me know, many thanks in advance

Yes, you both must be present.

Quick question. From the ones that received your EAD card, how many received an acceptance letter prior on the card. I haven't received any notice, or am I just getting the card directly?

We've been calling like crazy and asking for tier 2 reps, the initial rep basically speaks off of a pre-made script and doesn't give any useful information. We were told last night that the approval letter was mailed on Dec 11th (day that AP & EAD were actually approved). We were also told twice yesterday that the card had in fact been sent yesterday, however it takes 24-48 hours for their system to update with the actual tracking number. I wonder if they send them in batches or just send them as they're approved and printed. Maybe yours was sent yesterday too :)

I got my interview notice at the same time as the EAD approval. Don't worry, at least you got the most important part. I know people that got the EAD card like a week before the interview...which made it useless. You may just get the GC and no EAD. Or you may get the EAD notice very soon.

Either way you got your interview notice, YAY!!!

So my husband and I called USCIS again tonight and spoke with another tier 2 officer and got a completely different story than we received yesterday. Yesterday we were told that our card was sent. I knew that was information was too good to be true. Tonight we were told that it was sent into production yesterday, not sent to us. I imagine we won't actually receive it for at least another week. :bonk: We've spent most of the evening on the phone with the airlines trying to figure out our best options for re-booking our flights to Denmark that are scheduled for tomorrow. Unfortunate situation :crying:

Yours was approved the same day as mine, i received an email also this morning saying its in production, according to time frames i've seen on other members the 16th is about the right date but thats a sunday so we can expect it on Monday, i hope priority mail delivers earlier than the regular cause our mailman comes at the end of the day and i'm eager to go apply for my SSN..

So sorry to hear Mrs B... Try and cheer up though, I know it is hard, our family was planning on going too, although did not buy tickets yet. I console myself with something my mom always says,"not all disappointments are bad, sometimes they really happen for a good reason". Hope this helps just a little :(

It's good news that your card was approved! U are 3 days behind me so I will let you know as soon as I have the card in my hands. It is a bit annoying that you didn't get it on time, but it shouldn't delay your trip but a couple of day, sorry about that. It's close enough to still travel though, right? My interview got scheduled Jan 9th, an we wanted to move to Cali on the 3rd or 4th. Anyways things don't always work how you want them too, we are just gonna stay until the interview. I'll miss the first 2 days of my new program but I am glad the interview came in a timely manner. Take it easy and We will keep you updated.

It's showing initial review for both the EAD/AP.

And for the AOS application, it's showing

Just got an email that card was mailed. (EAD combo)

The whole process from approval to card arrival seems to take 8 days. I doubt I'll get it tomorrow, probably Monday.

It is possible cause USPS delivers priority mail on saturdays, and according to other members it takes 2 days, so again it is possible.
