I would highly recommend NOT using this lawyer or anyone else for AOS. Lawyers are generally useless in straightforward cases. No one is going to care more about your case than you.

where can i read the 221g form? or what is it

Really, you ask? You have never heard or read about this? Do any other reading here on VJ within the last 8 months?

You as the MAN are supposed to know these little details. She, as the hot Ukraine bride, will EXPECT you to do so. Doing less will threaten everything!

Yep you better get all full copies of divorce decrees!!!!!I got a RFE this year for my divorce in 1984,in Missouri. "it was certificate of divorce" not full copy. I would get them overnighted and sent to her quick, I would say chance of visa as such is slim and none. I'd say some flag has arisen or attorney would not have asked for them now.

She absolutely needs All of your divorce decrees as others have said. I hope your lawyer didn't miss anything else. Did they recommend she has a complete copy of your I-129 submittal package in case any documents were lost along the way? I would highly recommend it. Do yourself a favor and read the KEV-1 list and K-1 Ukraine consulate instructions. You need to make sure you have ALL the items listed because be sure the consulate will. Ukraine is very particular on the documents being complete and accurate. You have come to far to take a chance on missing one paper which could delay you and your fiancée being together. Here are the links to the KEV-1 and instructions. http://photos.state....1/pdf/kev-1.pdf http://photos.state....nstructions.pdf

Ron, the visa is the BEGINNING of a long process, NOT the end. You will need to provide these at each step, AOS, RoC and most definitely for citizenship. Your new wife is going to have to be able to discuss your previous wives over and over in the next 4 years. Alla says at her citizenship interview it was topic number ONE. It is often used as a measure of a bona fide relationship...like it or not.

If you "get away with it" now they can revoke her green card, or even her citizenship if they determine it was material misrepresetation. You need to be up frontright now with ALL documents and provide them for every other process when required. Make a LOT of copies.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!

Ron, get it done today! Copy and scan and send ASAP! Sveta must be prepared to address why previous marriage(s)/divorces were not listed initially. Good luck.

I used a visa service to fill out my forms, before knowing about this site :bonk: , but I still had to sign the forms prior to sending them. I caught several errors and corrected them before sending my packet. I read the instructions on the USCIS website, so I had a bit of a better idea. Even after sending the packet off I read the forms over and over to make sure I had not missed something. On the instructions for the I-129F “General Instructions” Step 1 –item 2.

“If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, indicate the item number, and date and sign each sheet”.

I do not need a law degree to understand this! You had more than 2 marriages and 2 spaces were provided, so?? Apparently your attorney cannot read.

The form I-129F form item 9, “Names of Prior spouses” “Date(s) Marriage(s) Ended. It says nothing about the last 2 or within any amount of time.

After sending the packet I went here on VJ and read EVERYTHING I could in the guides, posts, timelines and embassy reviews. Then I went to the embassy website and I read and re-read EVERYTHING on the K1 visa process. I emailed the embassy with several specific questions as to my case and emailed the medical clinic with questions, which I got answers in black and white.

Onto the embassy website and to the Instructions For K Visa applicants:

10. DIVORCE/DEATH CERTIFICATES: Divorce certificate as a proof of the termination of any previous marriage must also be submitted. If the spouse is deceased, a death certificate should be submitted. Divorce certificates must be obtained at the local registrar’s office (RAGS). Court decrees terminating marriage are acceptable only if issued in Ukraine after July 27, 2010.

To me knowledge is power and the best way to gain knowledge about anything is READ it in black and white. The most important thing to me was to get Alla and Lada here with me, and get married. I could not let a mistake that I could make jeopardize this. When I got stumped on something or did not understand an instruction, I posted it here and got the help I needed. I cannot give advice on the situation you have now (but Goggled a 221G and there is a lot of information), because I have no first hand knowledge about it. I had my ducks in a row long before the interview date.

It takes a lot to go through this process and it is an American system, and I agree with Barron—the details should have been taken care of by you! Good luck!

Find a court runner or attorney service in the other states where the divorce was filed. Have them go to the courthouse and obtain certified copies (get 3 of each) and overnight them to you. Then DHL them to your fiancee.

my lawyer just sent email asking how many times i had been married i replied we had talked about this over 8 months she and sveta knows now lawyer tells me send sveta the divorce papers beyond the 2 listed on the 129f is this truely needed sveta has full copies of the last 2 divorces the others are in another state and sveta has visa interview in 1 week

I had to send all divorce decrees in full. Also in Manila the only questions they asked my my fiancee (now wife) were details regarding my past marriages and divorces; names, dates, and specific reasons. They had her sign a specific statement that she was aware how many times I had been previously married.

The RFE I got was because I only sent the first and signature pages of my decrees.

In our case it was the center of topics.
