hello, thank you in advance to whomever reads this.

i have been trying to figure out how to approach my situation. My boyfriend (american, wanting to be fiance) is wanting to go to university in Canada where i am. originally we were going to go the k-1 visa route but he decided he wants to move up here to Canada now. he wants to get a student visa but i am wondering if he then would have to wait until he finishes his studies with his student visa to marry me? and if so would it then make it easier to get a marriage visa? we really want to get married, but i am overwhelmed with information and confused where to look. if someone could help me that would help me out so much!

Moderator hat off - you can find out the requirements for a student visa at the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration website: http://www.cic.gc.ca . See if he can qualify for a student visa if he wishes to study in Canada.
