Ok here is the deal, right now i'm between steps 6 and 7 on the flowchart for the K-1 visa. NVC sent it out on the 24th, I called them and they confirmed that with me (also told me it was out of their hands now). I then called the U.S embassy in Chile and they proceeded to tell me to email them because they couldn't transfer me to anyone. I just want to find out if they received the petition! I have two issues here:

1. I noticed a misspelling of the beneficiary's name(Sepulveda spelled Spulveda), this happened at NVC I believe because on the I-797 Notice of Action her name is spelled correctly.

2. On the I-797, it says "Notice Type: Approval Notice Valid from 9/11/2012 to 01/10/2013. So if I have issues that go beyond the 1/10 date, what do I do?

I thought the embassy would have a bit more information for me instead of 'send an email'. So I come here to you great people. Thoughts? Ideas? How should I approach this?

Thanks for reading!

Don't worry about any misspellings, it happens all the time.

The notice validity date is totally meaningless; NVC has your case and then the Embassy will have your case and they by the fact that they have it automatically extends your case for as long as they want. Stop worrying.
