hi guys

i registered for dv lottery 2013 and prior to results i got married on december. and i found out that i was choosen for dv lottery on may. so the question is CAN I BRING MY WIFE WITH ME TO US? what kind of procedures should i do for this.thanx

Did you sent your papers to KCC as a single man?

You should have added your wife back then.

If you didn't, call an US embassy in your country and ask them what to do.

Probably you'll have to mail the marriage certificate to them, to add your wife to your application and to be able to go to the interview together.

But call them and ask.

Do you know the date of your interview yet?

Many people marry between entering and getting the interview. Have plenty of evidence that you are a true couple and not just strangers trying to share a win as they will look into that. Otherwise you should be fine.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

If you sent papers as married, she's already added to your petition.

Now it's time to wait for the date of your interview.

After being notified about it and the actual interview you'll have something about 4-6 weeks to complete all the required documents. And go with them (and your wife has to complete all the documents as well) to the interview.
