Hi, my name is Abby Ransome, I'm 18 and currently live in Newcastle in UK.

I'm trying to get some info if possible on how to get a work and living full time visa for America.

I tried applying for the 'green card' but unfortunately I'm unable to register as I was born in the UK and so were my parents.

I'm hoping to get out there for 2014, I'm doing camp America 2013, maybe this will help I'm not sure.

If anyone could give me some advice I'd be truly grateful.

Thank you,

Abby

If you cannot afford to study in the USA, your best bet is to see what sort of professions are sought after in the USA (such as scientists), go to college in the UK for that, maybe do an exchange year while studying, then seek a employer to sponsor you.

I'm afraid that from what you say it's going to be difficult for you to move to the US. Have a look through the wiki for work visas: Click here

H1-B visas require you to be in what USCIS call a "specialty occupation", and they require you to find a company who is willing to sponsor you and pay for you visa to come to the US. I'd be very surprised if you'd get that at age 20, particularly since wanting to work then suggests you're not doing even a bachelors degree.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful.
