Ok, gloves off. As a black man I guess I agree with you on many points. I can't stand to see men with their pants down walking around, it sickens me to the core. My mother would beat me to death if I even thought about doing it. I also serve my country, 18 years and counting, just came back from Japan, left the day of the Tsunami/Earthquake( I was blessed).

The problem with being a decent black person is you carry around the stigma of every ignorant person inside the black race. When I was overseas and we would hit up different countries, I would make sure my hair was cut, I was dressed nicely and my liberty buddies all did the same thing. We would be soft spoken and polite at all times simply because the color of our skin spoke for us before we even said a word. I can't tell you how many times I was denied entry into an asian club because I was black but my white shipmates that drank and acted like idiots were welcomed into open arms. Funny thing is I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or condone that behavior.

I don't blame racism for my shortcomings, if I don't make it, it's because I didn't work hard enough or didn't push myself. But I think it's wrong that every person of color has to pay the price for the bad seeds. I have been pulled over for DWB more than once, I have been brutalized by the police when I was cooperating and not even causing a problem. My first wife's hated me because I was black(their words were he will get you pregnant and then leave you) I stayed for 10 years and she left me for a German man. I still take care of my two sons by her and my current wife's son because I believe he is a part of her like my sons are a part of me.

I can't control the bad seeds out there, I can only speak for myself and I will always act with dignity and class because it's who I am, my skin doesn't make me or dictate my choices. Logic and reason trump style and glitter any day.

What many don't understand is that Romney doesn't excite the right wing. Not in the slightest. He is sometimes referred to as "0bama Lite." Such voters consider the choice to be between "bad" and "worse," with Romney someone to vote out after 4 years in favor of someone better.

Bear in mind that all of Romney's opponents in the primaries were more conservative than he, and they split their own votes to the point of dilution. Romney won nomination almost by default, because of this.

Someone once asked me, Would shot to wound if someone broke into your home. I said only if it's family. My wife who has never fired a gun or even seen one fired picked up an M-16 with M-203 attached the other day. Fired 9 out of 11 in the bull eyes ring on the first try. I am so proud.

Most white people really do not harbor racism in their hearts anymore, but they also can't understand why so many Blacks still feel so much Racism is out there. Guess it's just going to take lot's of honest dialogue and time. We have to remember segregation only ended in earnest about 25 years ago.

Heck I am married to a Asian in the deep south, and I can tell people already act some what different. Some of my close friends have told me that, people have made comments to them along the lines of --I got me a sexy young maid, I got a house slave, et etc... My wife has 2 college degrees and speaks three languages. Almost everyone in her family has a degree. 3 of her Brothers are architects. She is sexier, way more educated and articulate than any wife of any of the people saying those things. I will also say the myth of the submissive Asian wife is just that. A Myth. She runs the house no doubt.

Ok take the gloves off a second and let me ask you a serious question. I grew up in a small town in Mid-GA. My father was a Doctor and I visited the county work farm on more than one occasion to visit a black inmate that had been beaten half to death. I remember as late as the early eighties us having 3 rest rooms in the courthouse. I don't have to explain to you why 3, I am sure. A black holding a real job or running for public office was not a reality before the mid 80's. Heck my first 4 years of school, no blacks allowed. If I were completely honest I would say some form of Bondage was real and healthy until the Mid-80's. I feel you and I understand why you feel the way you do. It's justified

Let's fast forward to 2012. . I live in a county that is about 55% Black. 90% of our violent crime is committed by young black males. 85% of black children are born out of wedlock to single mothers with a large percentage of those on some form of government substance.. The schools have such discipline problems that they are ranked some of the worst in the state. There black nuclear family has been destroyed by welfare. apathy and drugs.

So back to the 90% of violent crime being committed by young black males. What is your answer. If you are the person charged with public safety what areas do you target. Do you treat a group of old white women with the same scrutiny you do a group of thuged out hipsters. Just curious ? What other than giving more and more government money away do you suggest we do to make the world safe for people like me.

I am 50 years old. I have busted my butt all my life, Served my country. I pay almost 50% of my income to the government in some form of tax. I will get up at 5:00 AM in the morning and go work 10 hours. Should I be able to go to the local mall after dark ? right now I would not dream of it ? Should I be able to stop for gas without witnessing someones ####### hanging out their pants and hearing MF GD every other breath. I think I should.

As I said in the start. A lot of White folks think that when the slaves were freed , everything was just fine the next day. it was not. However things have come full circle. Black people have to start taking some responsibility for thier actions as a race. America is 78% white and we just elected a black President 4 years ago. How can you blame over whelming racism on the plague that affects the black community. Every single immigrant group that comes to this country surpasses African -Americans and thrives. That includes Blacks that immigrate from the west Indies and Africa. They all thrive.

Thank you, it's not too hard for us to feel the racism, with all of the things going on. We have a black President, something that 6 years ago wasn't even possible for us to fathom, but there is still alot of deeply rooted hatred running around, it's just now people can't just come out and say it to your face. They have to do it in other ways(hanging empty chairs in trees, putting it on billboards and bumber stickers) the list goes on and on. Hell, turn on the news, better yet Fox news, we have it on in the break room in our building and no matter what time I go in there, they are always bashing our Commander in Chief. We as americans hold that position sacred, except when he is in the Oval Office. No president in history has had their birth certificate called into question so disrespectfully, we have service members who won't follow his orders because they don't believe him to be a "real american", I have never seen any evidence that he is a Muslim yet they call him that too, his wife, kids, parents, and grandparents have been targets of some of the most bile and vicious tweets, emails, and "jokes" ever seen, we treat our enemies with more respect. I get that he hasn't delivered on everything he said he would, but what president has? Like I said in my last post there have been worse in the White House, but for reasons unknown(wink) we want to dub him as horrible. Go to any website that has an open forum, if you read any topic, someone will always throw their hatred of Obama in it even if it has NOTHING to do with the subject at hand, I have seen it on this website as well,(what in the hell does President Obama have to do with the laws of Columbia). The list goes on, I have no issues if you don't agree with the president on his issues or his stance on certain things, but comparing him to Hitler or Mousilini is foul, and I will be the first to say it's more about his complexion than it has to do with his policies.

It seems everyone has their mind set about foreign brides, my wife gets the "you married a black man, can you trust him?" or "why are you with him, you should marry a white officer or something". But my wife was a Malaysian runway model, flight stewardess and manager of a souvinir shop for many years, she speaks english and Mandarin fluently. No degree but she is savy in other ways, she's humble and respectful, which makes me want to be a better man. That's why I fight so hard to show people that we are all equal, and not all of us are to be feared...
