DS230 Part 2

Just curious... Were you asked to fill in DS230 Part 2 before the interview? And were you asked to swear in front of the Consul and sign this form during the interview?

I asked in my previous post too. Cuz I seemed to hear people said that they signed the form during the K-1 visa interview. But then i looked at my copies of the forms again... i'm pretty sure that i wasn't told to fill in /sign that form.

So does this mean that i need to sign the DS230 part 2 later?

Thanks.

Most consulates - you take the filled out DS230 part 2 form with you and the interviwer asks you to sign it in front of him/her. They also tell you in the instructions to not sign it before hand (fill it out but don't sign it.) Good Luck

Sleepybears,

DS-230-II is often not used with the K visas.

Yeah i didn't receive DS230 part 2 in my packet 3 so of course. So i didnt send them back the form (although i did have a copy of that). But i thought the Consul would fill in & sign the form with me during the interview. i got this feeling from some of the posts here before.

Yodrak,

Thanks for telling me. I was wondering whether the Consul had forgotten to do that with me. haha

So i suppose it's ok now. Maybe it's different in different Consulates.

Sleepybears,

If they want a DS-230-II from you, they'll tell you at the interview.

Let us know, please.

Yodrak,

I have had the interview on 27 Feb and it was successful. But i wonder why some people here said that they had to sign Part 2 also while i was NEVER asked to do so.

"Most consulates - you take the filled out DS230 part 2 form with you and the interviwer asks you to sign it in front of him/her. They also tell you in the instructions to not sign it before hand (fill it out but don't sign it.)"

So Motu is one of the people who said that we need to fill out DS230 Part2. Maybe it really depends on different consulates. Right?

Sleepybears,

Contrary to what Motu wrote, my sense is that few consulates use DS-230-II for the K visas. The I-485 application for adjustment covers that ground.
