Tourist Visa for Dad

How difficult would it be to get my father and my sister a tourist visa to come visit me? He has had multiples US visas a long time ago. My sister never had a US tourist visa but she will be (ideally) accompanying our dad. He is 88 yo. What would he need to do this? I am sure his previous US visas have expired. Same question for my sister. I am a 10yr GC holder. Thanks for all the input, info, help.

As long as they can prove ties to the Philippines, it's not going to be hard. That's one of the most important things and financial capacity, as well.

When my mom and I applied for a tourist visa in 2008, I was 28 y.o. then and my mom was 70. It was pretty easy I must say, I was only asked where I was working, how long I've been working, what's your purpose of visit, what do you plan on doing there, where will you stay, etc. I have aunties in the US and I stated one of them as the contact person. The question that made my heart beat was "Are you married?". I said no, I'm single. I was worried because I might get denied because that would mean I can decide to just stay in the US. Then my mom was just asked, how many children do you have, where are they. The last questions were, have you been out of the country, so I said yes. Who were you with? With my mom. Then we got approved. I was only asked to show my company ID, no other documents asked like bank statements and the like. At the back of my head, I was worried too because at that time my sister's working visa is not yet issued to her and they might ask about her AND at that time, my husband and I were already a couple.

They can put your name as the contact person, purpose of visit is to visit relatives/friends. Then just prepare other documents. Like for your sister, certificate of employment, ITRs, bank statements and the like. I think your dad won't have a hard time, but your sister might if she's at the age wherein she could try to just stay. However, if she's been working for 5 years or so and has a stable job working for a stable company, has tax records, it won't be a problem as well.

Just to add. If your dad's previous US tourist visa just expired, say, within the past year, he can apply via the Visa Reissuance Program. My auntie just renewed her visa and she was just asked 2 questions: what's her name and birth date. And there are no other documents needed, just pay, fill-up the application form online, schedule an interview. He would just need to bring his passport and appointment letter come interview day.

my sister is older than me and married, has 2 kids, they both live at home of course LOL. she doesnt work, she is a stay at home mom. as far as financial capacity, we are paying for my dad's expenses to do this. my sister would be relying on her husband's income.

Oh, I see, she's your Ate! I assumed she's a younger sister. That wouldn't be problem at all. There's a question on the form on who will be paying for the trip. Then just prepare the necessary financial documents (bank statement, ITR, pay stubs, etc) of the one sponsoring the trip.
