When the kids travel by themselves

I'm posting this question on behalf of a friend.

Her and her children are LPRs.

The kids are supposed to fly down to Argentina soon and it'll be the first time they will leave the US since receiving their GCs. They will carry all the documentation that shows they are authorized to travel by themselves and that they must be received by an adult at the airport (all that good stuff).

The question is: Do they need to present any documentation related to their SOLO-FLIGHT when departing the US? Should she call the airline and ask?

Depending on their ages there is s fee that is paid for minors to be escorted on and off the plane. I used this for my son when he was traveling internationally by his self(13yrs old). They are escorted through customs and if there is a layover any where they take them to a lounge area with video games and snacks to keep them occupied. Once you pay for this with the ticket there is nothing else you need to do but make sure they have all of their correct documents to travel. The prices range from $100-$150(depending on airlines) extra per ticket but was well worth it.

Right.

But in RE to the documentation. Will they be asked for anything to be shown? They have translations of the agreement made between Mother and Father saying that: the kids can travel by themselves blah blah blah

Kind of like when you flight out of your country and the airline checks that you have a valid visa before getting on the plane.

Hello there!

And thx Celeste!!

I want to clarify this to see if I understood your answer reese1.

1-The kids are 16,14, and 12 years old, so I will have to check with the Airline for that fee.

2-They will need their Argentinean Passport to leave U.S and enter Argentina.

2-They will need their GC to re enter U.S.

3-They will need the letter authorizing them to travel alone signed by their father and me and notarized (all done in Argentina and in Spanish)

My question is about the agreements that were signed in Argentina, and are fully in Spanish, do i need to translate them by any certified translator?,

and/or notarize it here?

I have a translation I made my self for the AOS but is a simple translation, not notarized and of course I'm not a certified translator. Will it be enough?

Thanks
