Thanks khwaidee1, I appreciate the kind words. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit concerned seeing the last two interviews resulting in a denial and administrative processing.

I'd probably blow up if it happened considering we lived together for over a year prior to this whole process. Amazing how much control a consular officer has over your future without actually knowing the entirety of your past.

You'll do fine. If you read the consular reviews they are very positive. The young CO that is now doing the interviews was very nice to my wife. He started off the interview in Thai and didn't even ask my wife if she wanted English or Thai. He was very polite and professional. On top of the stack he brought out was a page of photos of us we submitted with our 129F. Some had family and he asked about those. He then asked the basic, how did you meet, last time you saw him, your family like him, etc. It was over in a few minutes and, well you know the rest. Since you can't go in with j make sure she knows where all the papers are in case they ask. My wife was extremely prepared with the documents so I think it put her at ease. Best of luck to you!

Talk about a timely response. Packet 3 was sent on Monday and the appointment email was received Tuesday. Her interview is Thursday the 8th. :wow:

:wow: is right! I told you. I reckon that the quick response may be due to the contents of Packet 3 and how they were organized. We interviewed on a Tuesday and her passport was delivered by EMS on Friday so your fiance should expect to get her's on the 13th or 14th. When I heard the Thai Post motorbike toot his horn at our gate in Lopburi my heart skipped a beat and I couldn't run fast enough across our yard and our dog thought I was crazy! It was a great day! Best of luck to you and your fiancee!

Thanks khwaidee1. We area a little on edge to be honest because she went for her medical and they found an abnormality on her chest x-ray. We are hanging on to hope that it will be nothing and it will all go through promptly. Otherwise, she will still pass the interview, but may experience a delay with the issuance of the visa.

You will change your understanding and attitude when you learn more about the processes. These officers and staff are highly trained to apply the laws to arrive at the right decisions. They dont have time to go over anyone past unless there is a reason to. If there is its usually not a good outcome.

The two interviews you refer to have zero to do with your case. You are worrying over something that has nothing to do with your situation and does not indicate anything to do with the outcome of your case. Keep in mind BKK sees over 700 cases per month so some wont be approved for many reasons including the ever present fraudulate filings.

You should consider yourself lucky so far from what I have seen. My case for example took 408 long days.

Just to follow. The interview went fine, they just wanted a co-sponsor and the medical. It seems the doctor never sent it to the consulate, nor gave it to my fiancee to bring. Everything ought to be cleared up by next week.

Congrats! On the co-sponsor issue, didn't you have that lined up ahaed of time? With all the info on the VJ forum I reckon you would have know the figures but anyway it seems like you've got one lined up. I would get the co-sponsor's tax returns/transcripts for 2009, 2010 and 2011, a current employment letter stating all the pertinient info and pay stubs (assuming he/she is not self employed) from January 2012 until the present.

If your fiancee has not yet had her medical, and if she is doing it at Bumrungrad, have her ask them to give her copies of all the DS forms, especially the DS-3025. My wife wasn't given anyhthing but when I e-mailed Bumrungrad they gadly e-mailed me certified copies of all of the documents which we submitted with our AOS. We now have a biometrics appt for 11/30/12 and will be visiting family hopefully in January or February! Good luck to you!

Yeah, the cosponsor was already lined up, but I didn't send it ahead of time due to all the information stating that BKK doesn't accept them. I contacted a lawyer after the fact about something else and he said that cosponsors are never considered, so if the CO said they wanted it just consider yourself lucky and comply.

About the medical, this has me fuming. My fiancee had her medical at Bumrungrad and the doctor refuses to submit it on her behalf. She had some abnormality on her chest x-ray and a positive skin test, but the sputum test was negative. Thus the doctor told her he was 90% sure she had INACTIVE TB, which to my understanding isn't grounds for denial and is largely up to the CO. Obviously, if she does indeed have inactive TB we want to treat it, however, since it isn't contagious we would like to be able to pursue treatment in the States. The doctor outright refuses to submit anything until she completes 6-12 months of treatment, which requires her to take the medicine at the hospital everyday. This is a huge problem because that means that my fiancee wouldn't be able to see her family during this time and is essentially a prisoner to the treatment.

I am trying to work out another way to handle everything because I feel, and the lawyer I spoke to agreed, the doctors are given far too much leeway. This combined with the fact that the hospital is for profit makes it all smell even worse. Considering a waiver is available, if it were needed, but only if the doctor submits the medical with the findings, but he refuses to do so.

It's a mess.

I'd go to BNH and get another medical. I know it's another 2100 THB.

That's my plan Karee. I am actually attempting to contact them ahead of time to determine their procedure upon detection prior to sending my fiancee there. Bumrungrad immediately put her on their treatment program which I am not happy about at all.

As a final effort if things seem to be similar at BNH I will contact the embassy to seek what our options are.
