PARIS, France (AP) -- Youths forced passengers off three buses and set them on fire in suburban Paris, in nighttime attacks ahead of the first anniversary of riots in France's poor, heavily immigrant housing projects.

No injuries were reported, but worried bus drivers refused to enter some areas after dark Thursday, and the prime minister urged a swift, stern response.

Damn yoots.

A woman has been seriously burned and three others are suffering from smoke inhalation after youths set fire to a bus in the French city of Marseille.

A group of teenagers reportedly forced open the doors of the vehicle and threw flammable liquid inside before fleeing.

Damn, it's about time the French randomly invade some country and let it slide into civil war. That'll make France and the French safer. If one were to follow the logic of a certain group of people...

On the other hand, not going to Iraq to help the US and UK didn't make them safe either.

So France has been wrestling with these problems since the 1960's, what's the point that you want to get across?

This is to the OP, not the previous post, hmm, sorry, messed up.

Let them ride in limos. Stupid buses.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

France's dealings with Saddam

How about these point of views on the so-called imperialist war..

Load 'em on a barge, tow it across the Mediterranean, and run it aground in North Africa. Then they can see how tolerant the 3rd World is to their bullsh!t. Try burning a bus on the other side of the lake and see what happens! It ain't pretty.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Of course. The US was once friends with Saddam. How long ago was that though?

After useless UN sanctions, which Saddam disregarded, France was the one who kept on trading with Saddam. I thought this was against the UN mandates.. I guess the rest of the world has a different set of rules to play by, unlike the US who is always scrutinized.

They did that already...it was called Viet Nam. Although they called on the US to rescue them then excused themselves once we were comitted. Go figure...the French give up when it gets hot.

Was he a better dictator then? I didn't think so.

Sorry bro, but you just can't have it both ways. Either what the UN says means something or it doesn't. If it does mean something then we should have gotten a mandate from said organization or stayed the ** out of Iraq. If it doesn't, then we didn't really have any beef to begin with as Saddam was just disregarding that which doesn't mean a thing in the first place.

The French called the shots in US policies? Really? They made the US get involved in and stay in Vietnam as long as it did? Quite amazing the French. Quite amazing. Taking the superpower for a ride. That must be why they feel so important over there on the Seine. Edited by ET-US2004

The UN is a failed concept in todays day and age.. Sure it might have worked back when it was setup but is simply failing the world today. The reality is that the world is divided and key players have their own agenda.

For example Russia and China will never ever enforce any sanctions against their oil buddies Iran. Therefore nothing will ever get done..
