After much waiting i have finally received my approval, now what do i do next ? haha

I haven't seen the letter but my fiance tells me that i need to contact my consulate, there is no contact listed on the letter, so does this mean i need to contact the U.S Embassy in London and arrange an interview ? Sorry for asking questions which probaby seem really dumb.

I'd just like a kind of check list i can work through so i can't go wrong anywhere, i would hate to have gotten this far and somehow mess it up.

Send off for your ACPO (police certificate)

Get your bith certificate (long version)

Get 3 US visa size photos

Book your medical (you need your LND no. to do so and have to take a photo and copy of police cert. to medical)

Get your fiancee to send over the affidavit of support and evidence.

Fill in the necessary forms which can be found on-line and send to embassy.

I was just looking at the K1 guide and it mentions i need to take evidence of an ongoing relationship to the interview, will it matter that we havent visited since we received our NOA1 ? It's not that we didnt want to visit, it's just expensive !

Well you first contact nvc to see when they ship it to your consulate. There is no point contacting the consulate yet if nvc hasnt sent your case to them.

In most cases, this isn't needed for London. However, there was one recent case where the consular officer requested proof of an ongoing relationship and because of that, many of us are planning to at least take a bit of proof as a CYA. This can be emails, Skype logs, any cards that were mailed, etc.

You don't need to contact the embassy in London. They send you a letter when they are ready for you to send Visa application forms. Meanwhile read the thread Left Coast Lady gave you. Tells you the preparation to do while your case gets to London. A copy of the instruction letter they will send can be found in the thread. Learn the London process, not what other countries do. Be ready on your part so you are prepared to respond as soon as you find out they are ready for you.
