That is what truly upset me......I called the Visa Specialist in DC and was told the visa was issued on the 30th of Oct and something came up with mu husbands name, prints were requested on the 31st.........This seems sooo unfair!! :crying::crying:

This morning while speaking to Dept of State they told me it takes about 2 weeks........So I'm hoping it will be that long and not 2 months, maybe she made a mistake. The really ironic thing is the Interviewer actually told my husband she was sorry this was the first time she has done a K3 and she was unfamiliar with the processes.....

God willing this will all work out, I was told this is called a security check. Its like an Admin review, but nothing further is needed.....

Thank you to all , your kind words bring me confort......The babies and me just need my husband here!! I dont understand why he would get AR in the END. If he had something come up after he got the visa, I dont understand why nothing trigured an AR early on while were at USCIS or even at NVC or before you got the interview. That is just so off ball.

Domini I really hope they just take two weeks so that your hubby can be here on time.

Domini...I don´t know what your husband´s experience means, but I will tell you exactly what happened with my husband. We were almost done with our interview when the CO noticed a name hit in the system. Luis´ twin brother had a problem with immigration 5 years ago, and they have very similar names. The CO said we could pay for digital fingerprints to be taken right then, which we did. He said it would take a couple of days to get the results and we would be called at that time. Four business days later, I called the Embassy and was told over the phone that the fingerprint results came back clear and that my husband´s visa was ready to go. We were then instructed to send the 221g (yellow sheet) and his passport via DHL to the Embassy, and that they would send it back in 2 days with the visa. That was it. Essentially, we received our confirmed approval over the phone. We did not have to go back to the Embassy for anything else. We are picking up his passport with the visa tomorrow morning at the DHL office, exactly 13 days after our interview.

Please...if you need anything thing else, just ask.

God Bless, Tracy (L)
