Has anyone ever got an interview rescheduled without knowing what the first interview date was scheduled for????????

Your immigrant visa interview has been rescheduled for: November 07 2012, by 07:00am. Your name will be on the list at the gate on the Immigrant visa line. You may come with a copy of this email.

We now only accept medical examinations from these two medical facilities in Nigeria: the Q-Life family Clinic, Plot 155A Prince Ade Odedina Street, Off Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos 01-804-2000 or 01-726-2840 Cell: 0702-770-4055 or the Children’s Practice Ltd., 25 Raymond Njoku, Ikoyi, Lagos; 01-893-0723. Please contact these clinics to schedule your medical examination. Medical packets are available at the clinic or at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html. You would not be allowed in for the interview without a medical report from either clinic.

We have attached the preparatory packet with requirements for the interview. Please note that the visa fee is $240, and payment must be made at the Consulate at the time of the interview.

I'm concerned about the timing of the muslim festivities coming up and if the embassy will be closed.

No we never got an email with the first date. How does that happen??? Im sure the Embassy will be on their P's and Q's for that festivity also. But I hope if they reschedule you they will let you know ahead of time!

Read this thread. Embassy will definetely close for Ileya. The thing is narowing down when Nigeria decides to celebrate it this year.
