They could end apartheid, annex all the Palestinian lands into Israel proper, and give all residents within that territory equal rights. That would end the Zionist regime, and yet there still would be an Israel, just not a predominately Jewish state.

Most Americans might not...yet. Look at it this way, our early government garnered the support of an absolute monarchy to remove the power of a constitutional monarchy with a Parliament. As we slide further into a corporatocracy, even aid by a dictator will probably be appreciated.
