Hi, does anyone know if the medical results are sent to you or the consulate? And am I supposed to have any of the forms they signed still on me because I still have the form from the x-ray and I'm wondering if they were supposed to have it. And I have sent my first lot of things in the post and am now wondering when I can send the next stuff. My mum thinks once I have got the medical back but I don't know if they are sending it to me or not. And I can't really send this second a lot of stuff till I know about the medical because I need to send the slip that says I am ready for the interview in the next lot of stuff and I can't send that till I know the medical results are through. Anyone know anything about what I just said above?

The results of the medical examination must be collected by you. You have to show the medical results at the time of your interview. The hospital will not send anything to the consulate. Hope this helps!

This is probably country specific. Here in Germany, the medical results are sent directly to the consulate. I suggest you e-mail your consulate and ask about how to proceed.

In Finland you need to pick them up by yourself and they are DO NOT OPEN-envelope.

Thats kinda fun thing though... :) Its matter of your personal health and then your health information is in sealed envelope you cant open. Of course you are able to (at least here in Finland) get copies of all the results and so.

I had my medical in Sydney last week. The Doctor gave me a form that the Pathology Nurse and Radiologist had to sign once they were done, then I had to hand that back to the Doctor once they were signed. I asked Dr Waks if the results would be sent to me or the Consulate. He said he always sends the results directly to the Consulate where they will be added to my case.... I don't know whether he does that because it is a Consulate requirement or not, he said he does it to avoid any risk of the results being lost in the mail or by the patient etc.

Hope this helps, Good Luck with everything!

It not only depends on the country, but it also depends on the doctor. The doctor in Melbourne sends the results in a sealed envelope to the applicant, and then that is submitted to the consulate by the applicant in Packet 4 (along with the police certificate etc). I don't know what the doctor/s in NZ do, best to wait and hopefully someone who has been through the process in NZ will tell you.

Both can happen. Either the medical centre will send the info to the consulate, or they will send it to you. It depends on the doctor, the clinic, and also the timeframe between medical appointment and interview. I had my medical about three weeks in advance - this meant there was enough time to send the info to me. If the medical is only days before the interview they are likely to send it to the consulate directly. I was flying interstate for both the medical and the interview and the last thing I wanted was to be in transit to Sydney with the medical report being in transit to my house!

You should not worry too much, the consulate is quite used to receiving the medical report at the time of the interview.
