Hi everyone! I'm a bit confused at the moment.

I just received an RFE from USCIS and it says the following:

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support was submitted from a joint sponsor, however it was not from the petitioner/sponsor. Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the petitioner/sponsor must submit Form I-864.

Please submit a completed and signed I-864 for the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form I-130 or Form I-129F. Also provide copied of the petitioner/sponsor's most recent federal income tax returns.

So what's confusing me is because we submitted all of those above. I had a joint sponsor and I also had my husband fill out an I-864, we submitted copies of tax returns, W2's, recent pay stubs and even employment letter. For both joint and my husband.

Did they lose the papers? are they asking for more evidence? I'm completely confused. Should I send another one or will that confuse them if they suddenly find 2 copies in their midst?

Thank you for your help!

It certainly wouldn't be the first time they overlook/lose something. It happened to me during K-1 (Got an RFE for my wife's birth certificate even though we most definitely sent it.)

One question, did you also include proof of citizenship for both your husband and joint sponsor, which is typically a birth certificate? That was something I completely overlooked and got an RFE for it. By your post that's the only thing I can see is missing from that list.

But as aws&ndd said, just send it all in again. Don't forget to print off original I-864's again and get them to sign it, as copies of signatures typically won't be accepted.

Good luck!
