Lindsay Lohan reveals she’s voting for Mitt Romney because ‘employment is really important’

Lindsay Lohan never ceases to amaze. But on Thursday night, she did so not because she got her third DUI or had another fight with her mother – she announced she will be voting for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Why? "I just think employment is really important right now," the actress, who often finds herself without work, explained on the pink carpet at the Mr. Pink’s Ginseng Drink event in L.A. “So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now.” So does that mean her vote could change come election day?

Three days earlier, the 26-year-old tweeted that the public would soon “hear my thoughts on our next president” – as if we had been eagerly awaiting it. In early September, after the first presidential debate, Lohan went on a Twitter rampage, during which she tweeted none other than Barack Obama asking him to consider tax breaks “for those that are listed on Forbes as 'millionaires' if they are not,” although it’s unclear what she exactly meant by that (she later deleted the comment). Two hours later, she tweeted One Direction, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj to see if they all wanted to record a song together.

Lohan joins a short list of celebs who say they support Romney, including Scott Baio, Jon Voight, and “Clueless” actress Stacey Dash.

Also on Thursday, the “Liz & #######” actress called into TMZ to backtrack after her father Michael released a taped phone conversation during which she accused her mother Dina of being on cocaine following a night of heavy partying. "I told my dad a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom," Lohan said. "She was not on cocaine … Daughters have fights with their moms. It happens a lot. It's normal." (Um, accusing your mom of using cocaine is only normal if you’re a Lohan or on an episode of A&E’s “Intervention.”)

As for her father Michael, Lohan added that she is “done” with him.

I am in favor and support ANY reason to NOT vote for Obama.

And this is exactly how Obama loses

He only won by 5 points originally.

Do you know anyone that did NOT vote for him in 2008 that WILL vote for him now?

Do you know anyone that DID vote for him in 2008 that WILL NOT vote for him now?

If that number exceeds 5% of the electorate...he loses.

The Obama hate is way stronger than the love for Romney. Some people would vote for ANYONE that was standing against Obama. No other president seems to have had that level of hatred from some people. I'm trying to think of a something that is unique to this president that some people would hate so much. What can it be?

She has not got the brains that God gave a gopher so really who cares who she supports.

Anyone with half a brain should be smart enough not to vote for Romney, unless of course, they happen to be one of his wealthy cohorts.

OBAMA for the win 2012! The only reason he was not able to finish the job the first term is the lame congress who refused to do their job.

If you have something to say...then say it. ####### is wrong with people? Do not ever go near an FSU woman. As I said, I could not possibly care less WHY someone does NOT vote for Obama.
