My pet peeves:

People who, when they say a sentence, make the end go up with their voice, as though it were a question. i.e. "So, I was in class yesterday? And the professor said this interesting thing? ..." etc. SO annoying. It's like... are you telling me this or asking me?

People who wear clothes that are obviously too tight for them because they refuse to admit they need the larger size.

Older ladies who wear clothes meant for people in their teens or 20's. It doesn't make them seem younger, it just makes them look like Grandma went to Express and bought low-rise jeans and a pink crop-top. Ick.

ETA: I didn't mean to imply with that last thing that older ladies shouldn't dress attractively, but I think that clothes that make a person look "attractive" change as a person ages.

Religious people (esp. those trying to push their beliefs on me and everyone else.)

Stupid people.

Bums.

People who can't spell.

People in the service industry who can't speak English worth a #######.

Terrorism and other random acts of violence.

The idiots who can NOT figure out highway driving. It is NOT kosher to drive 45mph and enjoy the view and keep ME from getting home (hey, I KNOW the road) by not moving over. This would be fine on its own. But noooooo, when we get to the passing lane, they speed up to 60+ so I can't pass them.

Of course when the passing lane ends, they drop back to 50mph. Bastards.

Can you believe I was thinking about this last night and planning my rant thread? Thanks, Luzy!

Ha ha. The DAH introduced me to the charming phrase "Mutton dressed as lamb". I'm forever asking if I am "too old" for something. And I like What Not To Wear's rule: No MiniSkirts Over 30!

I love What Not To Wear! I would say though, personally, maybe no miniskirts over 40. 30 seems pretty young to worry about that yet.....Depends how short you consider 'mini' too I suppose.

(Then again, that might be because I'm 34!) ;) M.

People who call others close-minded but are not themselves willing to be "open-minded" about things like barnyard animal lovin', random homicide, habanero sauce as a lubricant, or throwing puppies off of overpasses.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
