I am a little worried because with me just starting a new, good, full time job, I'm not going to be able to take any vacation time to go to the Philippines to be with my wife. I've been a student for the past three years, and have just finished. I've been working for a month now, and I am now making over the guidelines for the poverty level.

Will it help if I have a letter for the interviewer explaining my position? My wife and I talk everyday online, and we talk on the phone at lease 2 to 3 times a week. I hope it does not keep us apart. With everything her and I have been through, we don't want to be apart any longer than is necessary.

From everything I've read here, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you can prove a bonified marriage/relationship and have evidence to show it. While it does HELP to be there for her interview, it is not required and a lot of visas have been approved without the significant other present. A letter explaining your situation wouldn't hurt to send with her to the interview but I'm sure as long as she can explain it to the CO it should be fine.

Anybody feel free to correct me if I am wrong?

Yeah that's a good question, I think I will be in the same problem, my hubby won't be able to come here whenever we get the interview (we are still at USCIS stage) due to work, but I was also wondering if its BETTER than he is with me at the interview or if it doesn't really matter?? Because I have read in some other threads that in some embassies they DON'T allow the spouse to come in for the interview, only the beneficiary is allowed to enter.

THANK YOU
