Anyone ever sent a check to the Kingston embassy? How long does it usually take them to clear it? Mine got there on Tuesday and it's still not cleared.

I-130 Sent : 6/7/11

I-130 NOA1: 6/8/11

I-130 NOA2: 1/24/12

Interview: 5/14/12 (denied- but eligible for waiver)

I-601 Waiver Filed: 5/17/12

I-601 Waiver: acceptance notice received 6/24/12

I-601 Waiver: APPROVED - letter received 7/17/12

I-212: Submitted 10/9/12

I-212: APPROVED 10/29/12

VISA IN HAND- POE- Miami 11/28/12

Total time apart: 3 years, 10 months

Admin Review total: 3 months 3 weeks

More info like why would you send a check to the embassy when they only deal you cash?

1) I would NEVER send cash through the mail...ANYWHERE. You'd be dumb to do so.

2) It says directly on the form they they only accept checks or money orders, not sure where you're getting your info from.

Thats why I asked why are you sending a check to an embassy. When I say they deal in cash only I was assuming in person not through the mail. I never send send money in the mail dear.

So again why are you sending a check to the embassy again? And Please calm down I am just trying to help there's no need to yell or be rude., Ain't nobody else answering. Dang

I sent the check to accompany my I-212. It was actually to USCIS field office within the embassy.
