Hi everyone,

We recieved a letter stating that our first appointment to go to the Embassy in Egypt will be later next month. So we have to rush ourselves in getting all the letters and finish writing the waiver. I have a question for the people that went thru Egypt: Does my husband and myself, (USC) get interviewed or only my husband? How do they treat people there in the interview? Did they want the waiver at the first interview or did they assign another appt. to bring in the waiver?

This question for anyone that can help: We've been married for more then three and a half years, so do we have to show pictures of ourselves together? Is there any other info or things to bring that will help us?

Thank you all for your help.

Kari

You can go inside the embassy with him, but when it comes time for the interview, you will not be allowed to go up to the interview window with him. You are not interviewed, only him. I've heard mixed stories about the the person that does the interviews. The lady that interviewed my husband was just a hag and not nice at all. Bring any type of documentation you have that shows you have an ongoing relationship. We brought phone logs, a few chat logs, emails and postal letters to and from each of us. Funny thing though......the only thing they wanted to see????? She asked him how my kids felt about him and of course he said my kids love him and that they talk on the cam and the kids sent him pictures they had made. That's all she wanted to see!!! Pictures my daughter colored for him!!!! Now it's an ongoing joke that he's really in love with my daugther!

Thanks for the replies.

Aymerlu,

I thought only if he were doing a k visa that you would bring more evidence. So this is really good to know. I have emails from before we got married so may be I need to pile them up. I travel back and forth to Egypt and then back to the US. Should I show them my plane ticket reciets. We don't have kids yet. So I don't have anyone to draw for him. lol. Thats really cute that your daughter draws him pictures. So adorable.

I've havent been on this website for a long while. I've been in immigrat2us.com. I had put the same topic but I didn't get any info yet. So I thank you guys for replying so fast.

Everyone keeps talking about pictures and I'm wondering if print outs of digital pictures would be okay? I haven't used my regular film camera in years.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

I only used a digital camera in Egypt so I printed out about 100 pics and made an album for Mohamed to take to the interview. I just used one of those photo machines at Walmart. When he got the album he also put pics of my boys that I had given him in it.
