Anybody who can provide proof of US citizenship or legal residency can be a joint sponsor.

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

Poverty guidelines is more than 21 thousand for 2 people....you and your fiancee! If you cannot reach that you need a joint sponsor...It's I-134 because it's fiancee and still have her interview.....when she's here in the US then I-1864 for AOS.

USEM almost never allows co-sponsors for the K1 fiance visa (they do for the CR-1 spousal visa). The onyl exceptions we have seen on here is if the primary sponsor will likely make good money soon (recent graduate), and the co-sponsor is a close relative, usually a parent of the USC.

It depend but mostly the manila embassy ddnt accept co-sponsor on k-1 visa applicant. I've heard one story a friend of mine she was

approved having co-sponsor bcoz her fiance is student, early 20's not making enough money bcoz he is going to school & just started his financial stability..for some other case if your fiance let say 50years old up retired just living with low income,(from pension) unfortunately its impossible to get approve with co-sponsor.

Get married and then apply for I-130 and they will permit co-sponsor.

I had heard when we were going through the process that Manila will not approve a K1 visa if a co-sponsor is required.
