My mom is in US on a B1/B2 for the treatment of her severe neurological disease.

She is totally disabled, can't communicate( no speech,no writing) and is not very alert.

As a US citizen, I wish to file an immigrant petition( I-130 + I-485) for her .

What problems in her green card process can we face in view of her condition?

The financial aspect of her treatment may be a concern for the adjudicating officer.

Your mother is would not be able to get benefits that are means tested. You would need to show that you are capable of paying for her care. She is probably no insurable from the pre existing issues you have described. There is a strong possibility that they will want proof that you have the funds to care for her. This could amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars. They can demand more than the poverty when there are known issues that will incur expenses.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks everyone.

I am paying for her treatment here which is mainly home care and outpatient visits to the neurologist.

From the posts on this forum , I understand she needs to

overcome the "PUBLIC CHARGE" issue to adjust status.

I can show good income and strong funds(500k) to prove that I can care for her in the future.

Also, we plan to live in MA state,

where she will be able to get insurance despite her preexisting conditions.

Even though the premium will be high.

Will that suffice?

That may be enough, espeically (sorry to be callous) if her life expectancy isn't great. If she is expected to live for many years yet, they may not consider it enough. All you can do is try,
