Interesting question. Don't know about the election or K1's in general being affected but funny that you ask. Me and another Vjer friend talked last night about the Visa #'s and how Immigration Visa's have no count per country and she had done her Senior thesis on this fact that 's not true.

There's no way you will convince me if all a sudden there's a spike in Immigration from a certain country (Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey) that the US well may not really like or want I believe they will hold back, delay the numbers. Look what they are doing to Pakistan. AP for months and years.

It's weird. Sometimes I don't even feel the adminsistration even know there are Fiance'/Fiancee' and spousal Visas. They seem to only talk about work, tourist and student Visa's (mostly work and tourist).

And I have to agree on the timelines although a nice fun game (thats all it is ) to entertain us while we wait it is filled with so much false hope. I mean if not for delayed mail from Nigeria. I would have been Case Complete at NVC in August looking at October interviews with all my friends. That would have been from NOA1 to interview 6 months for a spousal Visa. Now that is way lightening fast. Even with probably looking at a December interview I will be at 8 months thats in the 8 to 12 month. I was prepared for a year. So well timelines are fun if you are competitive like me. It was and is a fun game to play...

I do have to agree! Unlike everyone else's experience at the time and through everyone else's timeline, I truly thought the process would take 5 to 6 months, we got approval of our Petition in "82" Days!!!!! That was even better than my dream timeline! I am always one to hope for the best and plan for the worst, and the timelines helped me plan for the worst... But would I have wanted to think that I could be approved in 82 days, No Way!!!!! but I am so FREAKIN THANKFUL that we were...

All I know is we are all people bonded by an experience, and I am so thankful to have this place and all of you!

Tanya

That's just it. The timeline is a good statistic. Nobody should be getting their hopes up on a statistic. It does help shed some light. Whether it is 100% accurate shouldn't be an issue since it is just a statistic based on a small sample of the population. I never based my chances on other people's cases. However, I have enjoyed knowing when I could possibly expect a response. At first, this was in August when I filed in April. Being at VSC, this number quickly jumped up to the end of October. I got approved 2 days ago so I'd say the timeline estimate served it's purpose quite well, and I am thankful to all whom contribute to the sample.

I'd be more worried about all the deferred action for childhood arrival applications slowing things down than the election.

I believe thats what has halted CSC all a sudden. The USCIS announcement even says thats their priority is those petitions.

Hi Guys,

We just got our interview date for November 19th at the UK Embassy... I was just wondering if anyone thinks that the election could possibly effect the Visa's that are already in process...

Any thoughts welcome...

Hope everyone is staying strong and things are moving along cool.gifsmile.gif
