Hi Friends,

I would need your expert advice. On first week of October, Embassy approved my K-1 visa (it was under AP from Aug 12).

But is show Issue date as oct 2012 and expiry date 25-dec. Is there any problem for me, Ideally it should be 6 months and i will reach US by December 10.

Quite Confused, because i have to marry my fiancee and then file for AOS, EAD, AP but then i will have only 15 days left in my Passport for K-1 Expiry.

BUT these information makes me confuse:

K-1 Flow Charts says that: Apply for Adjustment of Status (AOS). You should file as soon as possible. If you have not filed for AOS and your K-1 expires, you will be considered out-of-status until you file. Make all attempts to file before you become out-of-status. You may also file for your EAD and AP at this time.

and for SSN: You should wait 2 weeks after you arrived in the US before applying for a SSN. If you go too soon your record of arrival will not be in the SAVE-ASVI system yet, and it will require manual verification from the USCIS.

And what about 90 days after entering US. WILL CBP stamp my passport with NEW visa issue and expiry date from POE or what?

Please help me in this topic

The K1 is a single entry visa, so you'll be fine as long as you enter the US before it expires. After that, the expiration date on it won't matter anymore because you can't use it again.

At the POE, they will stamp your I94 with a new date and this will make your stay valid for 90 days. During that period you are to get married, get your SSN and file for AOS (as long as you got married withing those 90 days, you will be able to file foe AOS even if the 90 days have expired. However, it is advisable that you do it within timeframe to avoid any unnecessary issues)
