i can't. i said 'sure you do'. do you feel guilty or something?

so how is that the insurance companie's or romney's fault?

I by no means said it was Romney's fault. I said Romney was incorrect in saying that people do not die due to a lack of insurance.

so, its the insurance companies fault? and romney is wrong for saying it? please clarify.

You seem to be having issues understanding what I'm attempting to say.

I haven't said anyone is at fault. I posted an interview in which Romney made an obviously incorrect statement and I said he incorrect. He said one thing, when the reality is the opposite. The end.

How did he speak the truth?

People die because they don't have health insurance and cannot afford the ridiculous costs without it.

He claims that does not happen.

He's right though... People don't just die because they don't have insurance.

People die from not seeking treatment, or not knowing what channels to use to get treatment.

At the end of the day you don't need insurance to get 'taken care of.'

there is the truth.

You're essentially saying the same thing, though.

You're saying people die due to the high costs of medical services. Correct. Insurance is the only way they're affordable to some people. Without the insurance, the people will die.

They die from not seeking treatment because they know they cannot afford it. They can't afford their medications, or they can't afford their hospital stays, so they do nothing.

Sure, if they show up, they'll get taken care of. But what about when the bills come in the mail? Then what?

This is more than I wanted to share with VJ, but here we go:

I have multiple, pre-cancerous cysts on my ovaries. I didn't know this. I wouldn't have known this if I didn't have an ultrasound. That ultrasound was covered by my insurance, luckily. If not, just the diagnosis of my health condition would have cost me thousands. Not to mention the medication I'll have to be on, likely for life. I'm by no means going to die from my condition, but there are plenty of people with conditions who will because they can't afford tests, hospital stays, or meds.

Bills come in the mail pay them, work out a payment arrangement.

People need to stop blaming "insurance" or lack there-of for their problems. The problem is COST of health care itself.

The fact that you have to purchase one product to obtain another product is absurd. Insurance should NEVER be part of the equation is basic care.

If someone dies it's not from a lack of insurance. Trying to tie that into the reason why they die is very ignorant of the health care system.

What if they have insurance and still can't afford the deductibles or co-pays? Who is to blame then?
