YA1127,

I paid at around 4pm on Wednesday, wow didn't think 5 hours would make a difference of an additional day!

Print the bar coded receipt you print from online it had alk the info they need on it and you won't waste time creating your own and miss something.... Good luck!

Agreed, don't go through the nightmare of creating your own barcode sheet. The only reason people used to do that before was that you could not print the barcode sheet UNTIL the status of the payment changed to PAID. So you couldn't pre-mail the package to save a day or two. Now we can print as soon as we pay! I remember reading those instructions, and i'm a IT Engineer, and it made me never want to do it! laughing.gif

they don't have to sign if you use the email template or they can scan it to you signed; it does not have to be original signature. Might want to create an email address for your spouse to use!

one problem there is no internet in Cuba? idk ill just tell her to sign it and pay for one day mail ###### sucks when your dealing with a closed country like cuba :bonk:

no you can make an email address for her and use that address to do the DS-3032 email template. You can send it from that address for her! Saves money and time from mailing it to you!

Folks, I am a bit freaked out. We got our approval notice for the I-130 dated February 11, and it said the case was approved and forwarded to the NVC. The NVC has not, as of last Friday (two days ago) even heard of our case. A Tier 2 rep at the USCIS said the case has absolutely been approved and sent out. I received a response from NVCResearch on March 7 saying they would contact USCIS about the location of our petition. Since then I've heard nothing more from USCIS or from NVC. I'm very scared the file has been lost and we're getting the runaround.

Finally I broke down and contacted my congressman's office on Friday to try to figure out where the file is. I don't know what else I can do.

Can anyone give me any guidance on how I can get things moving? Is there any way I can even find out where the file is? I've been ill and I really need my husband here ASAP.

Many thanks from us both... :)

I guarentee you it's probably sitting in the NVC mailroom somewhere. A few weeks back, someone else had a similar problem, and had to call NVC and get very pushy (taking everyone's name and employee number that he talked to, threatening to get his congressman involved, etc etc) and although the rep had INSISTED that this guy's case hadn't gotten to NVC yet, as soon as he mentioned getting other people involved, the rep put him on hold and in ten minutes had magically found his file. Call and get pushy!

Also - just as a precaution - maybe call USCIS and confirm that it was shipped to NVC, and not somewhere else. For some reason field offices have been doing stupid things with some approved I-130s. A girl over at the March NVC thread had her filed shipped to NBC, then the field office, then to her embassy in India, then back to NBC before it finally was sent to NVC, and she only found out if finally arrived at NVC because her congressman's rep emailed her and let her know. NVC has been a real mess lately. wacko.gif But you're not alone, so don't worry. Good luck!

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.
