Will do. Will update Ya'll :) Thanks.

If you do call in again, use my exact questions with them. They are getting notorious for not giving info, even the ISOs.

I'm curious if your questions would even get real answers. Can the ISO see if an adjudicator is assigned? Can they see that if the case is at a field office? Didn't they tell you that you had one assigned a month and a half ago?

I think they just are making things up at this point.

Mine specifically saw that I was transferred on 1/3.

I asked her if an adjudicator had been assigned and she said once they transfer them to a field office, they can't see any more updates.

I was told the same thing by an ISO, that once the case is transferred to a field office, it "drops into a black hole" and all you can do is file a service request. Without my knowledge the ISO did file one for me and I got it back with the dreaded "6 month" timeframe. Ugh.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

It's probably just a stock response.

I wouldn't put too much worth into it.

Unless you're at ATL or Chicago.

Since Chicago seems to be following suit with Atlanta.

I just spoke to an ISO who told me that the case is at NBC when I called last week they told me it was transferred to Chicago. Totally confused.

It is ridiculous. Is there anything that can be done? Write letters to someone or doing something

First, cross your fingers that it IS still at NBC.

Second, did you write Durbin like I suggested?

Like I said, making things up. I give up on ISOs.

Me too, I spoke to one again today (asking about a different issue) and I brought up local office transfers again.

According to her, cases only get transferred to local offices if they have problems or if an interview is requested for the petitioner.

Uhhh what?

I am the petitioner.

I don't understand how NONE of them KNOW.

It's CRAZY.

My ISO was totally flabbergasted by it.

She started telling me the same shpeel and I was like NO! LOOK AGAIN SRSLY DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT ANYMORE!

When she finally saw it, she put me on hold, then came back and was like 'oh... well... i guess you ARE in Chicago. Transferred on 1/3'

IMO don't trust that you're at a field office unless the ISO gives you a date it was transferred.

Good to know.

I also had one tell me that standalone I-130 petitions are not being processed at local offices. I told her ok, then the trend charts posted on the USCIS must be wrong then?:bonk:

Ya know - I never, in a million years, thought we'd have to train up ISOs on process and procedure.

We've been doing that with NVC TeleOperators, specifically on the EP process and 'other holes' for interview scheduling, for some time.

Now, my final worry with USCIS local offices - is that some of them are not sending off approved petitions to NVC same week, and are making monthly batches. It's just a worry, based on empiracal (sp?) data here at VJ.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
