Haha I am the worst wife....hubby had a job interview yesterday for full time teaching post. Anyways, this morning I got a text saying WE GOT IT! CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!! Naturally I thought 'Oh my gosh NOA2!!!' and couldn't help but be disappointed when he meant he'd got the job! haha! However, now that my disappointment has subsided I am so excited for him, and this full time post is going to make it a lot easier for us to get a mortgage and hopefully buy a house before the years out :D God is goood!

Also, I'm getting the impression that the time between our NVC 'case complete' and my medical and interview in London could be over a month if not more! Question: Is there any paperwork between these 2 stages orrr could I fly over to the US on an ESTA once we get the 'case complete' and just fly back for medical and interview when the time comes for those? The main reason I don't want to go on an ESTA now is because obviously the paperwork will be sent to my UK address and could slow the process if I'm not there to respond/do things asap. But after case complete, if all I'm doing is waiting for an interview date then it would be a good time to go over for a month or so?

Here's hoping we get some approvals todaaay! If not, it's payday so I'm off to treat myself! :D

Hubs said he'd call and find out ####### is up if it takes over 6 months so I'm consoled with that and him telling me he really does want me here, is happy I want to be here but should be grateful I get extra time with my daughter. I think she's having a harder time with this than I thought I initially so I need to step up for her too. Game face on! Best of luck to all my fellow October filers.

Hi everyone,

Today I got a notification from USCIS that my I-130 has been approved and the notice is in the mail. I am so happy. The receipt date of my application was October 10th 2012 so it took about three and a half month to get the approval.

I am now reading up on the NVC process. Looks like there is a lot of work now.

For the next step, what I got from the step by step guide was that now I will get an approval notice and then after a few weeks my spouse will get a packet of forms that my spouse and I need to fill out (My spouse is in India). Is that correct? What can I do in the meantime - can I have my wife start working on getting her police clearance certificate etc.?

No. no packet of forms sent out. Unsure where you read that, but it's absolutely wrong.

Instead, hit the wiki, search on 'LingChe' then read it all.

We don't 'wait on forms' here, ever.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
