Yup, I feel exactly the same! (I think we all do) It's just so hard because I appreciate they have soooo many applications to get through - but for them it's just a day at work with case files x, y and z. For us it's our lives - our husbands or wives. I feel like my life is on standstill until I get to be with him! So frustrating! I think a combination of January blues and seeming lack of approvals has knocked my spirits big time :( (Usually I love weekends, but now I'm like 'ugh there won't be approvals over the weekend - roll on Monday haha!)

Join the club Darnell. :sleepy: I think it is especially hard seeing the December filers getting approved. That is a low blow.

I received the paper approval notice today and it says the petition HAS been forwarded to NVC.

So Darnell, to your question, it seems (if they say the truth) that they send them right away as I was approved last wednesday...

Hope NVC goes smoothly, I have seen also people stumble there...

went spelunking through a junk email folder moments ago.

Shazaam ! USCIS replied via email on 25 January 2013 in response to my inquiry via email dated 5 November 2012.

Well, at least they got caught up, aye?

And no, no new news. They did tell me about the casefile transfer to Dallas on 28 NOV, but I knew this already.

Personally I think the bigger the city, the slower the process for us. More people in larger cities, more files transferred, and the offices are already overloaded with other items they normally take care of. I see most of the earlier approvals were from the NBC itself or smaller cities. There is more hope now that Baltimore and Seattle are moving on cases but I bet with the work load that places like nyc or Dallas gets, they're going to take longer.

My latest numbers run (MSC1390091300 to MSC1390092350) includes the following:

  • 436 total I-130s (all statuses including those that have been denied, rejected, or otherwise not in process). One case number of last Sunday's 437 appeared to have been wrongly entered as an I-130 and that case was corrected last week.
  • 407 I-130s are approved or still in process (they have statuses Post-Decision Activity, Decision with "approved", Request for Evidence, Request for Evidence Response Review, Testing and Evidence, or Initial Review).
  • 150 have now been approved (they have statuses Post-Decision Activity or Decision with "approved").

Therefore 37 percent of the presumed approvable I-130s have been approved so far for my priority date, a very disappointing rise over last Sunday's 33 percent. Only 15 cases in the sample were actually approved last week. There's a new status in the sample, "Testing and Evidence", which indicated in the case in question that someone was called in for an I-130 interview but did not appear. No pending RFEs were resolved last week and no cases were newly denied.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

I'm feeling very low because my husband has to go back home this week. I just broke down crying in the supermarket when I thought that I was planning the last meals before he left. I have to drive him to the airport and then somehow I have to drive back home alone. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself after he's gone. I don't have any local friends or family to go see. At least he's coming back someday. I wish I knew when.
