Hi, Cat. When you enter your processing number into the online Case Status thing, it will give you that chart with the dots telling you what stage you are in. Look to the left. You will see a link, "Sign up for case updates". Sign up as an applicant customer and follow the instructions. If you have already signed up for case updates, access your account by selecting "Sign in to my account". Add your case number(s) to your portfolio if you have not already done so.

After you have signed in, you will be taken to your portfolio, where you will see a little chart showing your case number. You will see an entry for each time someone has entered your case number to do something to it. It could be as small as someone moving the file to someone else's desk, but it indicates that it at least hasn't fallen out of a window somewhere. :)

Thanks so much! Mine currently says 'last updated' - 13th December 2012. (I'm assuming it hasn't been 'touched' since then) It doesn't say anything more than the last updated date, but at least that's something and I know it's there somewhere haha.

06/07/08 .. Met while working through Camp America programme in Maryland.

06/02/12 .. Got Married in Inverness, Scotland.

USCIS:

10/11/12 .. I-130 Sent

10/17/12 .. NOA1 date

12/20/12 .. File was transferred to my "local field office" (Baltimore)

02/05/13 .. NOA2 date

NVC:

02/11/13 .. NVC receives case

02/28/13 .. Case number assigned

03/01/13 .. DS-3032 Emailed

03/04/13 .. DS-3032 Accepted

That's exactly the same date mine was last updated; I think that's the day they finally caught up with the mid/late October online status entries. Almost sounds like your file and mine are next to each other on the desk. :)

make certain yer talking with an ISO

see ISO - http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm

a CSR is useless, for the stuff you need.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, I talked to an ISO, but they still could not help me with my problem. As the link you sent me says, the ISO Cannot:

Review already issued Requests for Evidence (RFEs)

Directly issue duplicate notices, receipt notices, RFE notices

Transfer calls to local offices or service centers

Provide legal advice

They do not help at all :( I am worried!

Until my case was online, I wasn't able to add the case number to my account.

But it just always showed the last 'touch' was when it was put online.

I think talking to an ISO is more helpful than the online status.

whilst they cannot directly issue duplicate stuff,

they can start the request to get something re-issued.

Bear that in mind when yer scheduling your next call.
